Welcome to The Flight Blog!
Hello, fellow travelers! I’m so excited to welcome you to The Flight Blog, the newest corner of Wayward Wings Travel. This blog is my space to share all the travel tips, inspiration, and personal insights that will help you plan your next meaningful getaway.
Now, you might be wondering, "Why travel?" Well, for me, it all started with a deep love for nature and wildlife, and a desire to help others reconnect with the world around them. I’ve spent much of my life working in veterinary medicine, and through my years helping people and animals, I realized how important it is to take time for yourself to recharge and explore.
This journey into the world of travel came from a need to create experiences that fulfilled dreams of traveling for others, especially those who thought it was beyond their reach due to lack of experience or lack of finances. I wanted to combine my passion for the wild and beautiful places I’ve been with my desire to help others experience the same sense of awe, as well as disconnecting from the grind of daily life to recharge. At Wayward Wings Travel, we focus on crafting custom getaways that are tailored to your sense of adventure, whether it’s hiking through the Arctic, connecting with wildlife, or just escaping the noise of everyday life.
Through The Flight Blog, I’ll be sharing everything from wildlife travel tips to packing advice (especially for cold-weather and plus-sized gear!) and inspiration for unique destinations. My goal is to help you make informed decisions as you plan your adventures—and to provide a little spark of excitement along the way.
